Michigan Electric and Natural Gas Industry Stakeholders including: utilities, legislators, agency representatives, and interest groups.

When will the conference agenda be available?
Topics and Speakers will be announced as they become confirmed.  A topical agenda will be posted on the Agenda page in June 2024.
When will the conference presenter materials be available on-line? Materials will be posted on the website by August 14, 2024.
What is the dress code for the MEPC?
There is no specific dress code for MEPC, most attendees dress business casual.

What is the conference registration fee?
General Attendance $400
Spouse/Guest (13 +) $100
Children Ages 5-12 $50
What is included in the registration fee?

How do I register for the conference?
Registration for the conference can be done by clicking on the Register Here tab.   You will need to book your hotel room separately using the link provided on our Location page or by contacting Grand Traverse Resort directly (1-800-968-7352).
What is the deadline to register for the conference?
Registration deadline is July 13, 2024.
What is the refund and cancellation policy for the conference?
Cancellation requests must occur by June 24, 2024 to receive a refund minus the administration fee of $50. Cancellations must be submitted in writing to suzy@megautilities.org.

Lodging

How soon should I book my room?
It is recommended that you book your room as soon as possible to ensure that you get the type of accommodations that you desire.
We have a room block and it expires on June 24, 2024.
How do I book my room?
Registering for the conference is separate from booking your room.
Select link provided on the Location page of the MEPC website.  It is highly recommended that you make your room reservation as soon as possible.
*Grand Traverse Resort requires a one-night deposit on a credit card. Your credit card will be charged within 24 hours for the deposit amount.
When can I Check In at Grand Traverse Resort?
You are welcome to arrive as early as you wish, however the hotel cannot guarantee that your accommodations will be available for occupancy before 4:00 p.m. Check out time is at 11:00 a.m.
What is the cancellation policy at Grand Traverse Resort?
Your deposit of one-nights room rate and tax will be refunded, less a $25 cancellation fee, with notice of cancellation at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival. Reservations cancelled less than 72 hours prior will forfeit the deposit.

How is a Municipal Utility Employee Defined?
An individual who is associated with a municipal unit is defined as:
• An employee of a utility that is owned by a city in Michigan.
• For a city that owns a utility, an employee or elected official of the city.
• An employee of the Michigan Municipal Electric Association.
How is a State Governmental Employee Defined?
An individual who is associated with a state governmental unit is defined as:
• A direct employee of the State of Michigan.
• An elected official of the State of Michigan, such as a representative or senate in the Michigan legislature.
• An Aid of an elected official of the State of Michigan.
(This does not include sub-units of the state – such as cities, villages, townships or counties.)

Special Promotions

I have been given a promotional code, what is this?
A promotional code allows for a discount to be given under certain conditions at the time of conference registration.  This code needs to be provided at the time that an attendee registers for the conference.  PROMOTIONAL CODES ARE ONLY VALID WITH GENERAL ATTENDANCE.  If you recall seeing a promotional code but cannot find it or your communication, please contact Suzy at suzy@megautilities.org.
